Recognising Groups in Early Multiplication, Animals

Being able to recognise the size of equal groups is an important stepping stone to understanding multiplication. This worksheet, with an animal theme, has various equal groups. Children need to recognise how many groups there are, the size of each group and the totals, and then record their findings using the language of 'groups of'.
