Ways to Use a Visualiser in the Classroom
Here are some great ideas for using a visualiser in the classroom. They are becoming more common as they allow teachers to display a single object or small area to an entire classroom.
Ten Frames - 1 to 100
This manipulative is great for demonstrating two-digit numbers, ten more or less, one more or less and addition of two digit numbers.
Show the Coordinate
A game which reinforces skills in finding coordinates. There is progression up to a 4 quadrant grid. Find the coordinates against the clock but take great care so you can get a 20 correct in a row.
Help a Hedgehog
A super read the word challenge game which can help you with learning to read. Read as many words as you can that are matched to Letters and Sounds Phases 2 and 3 or enter your own words.The game helps with decoding and blending words skills.

Useful for whole class addition mental maths for use on an interactive whiteboard. Levels are carefully progressive from single digit addition to HTU and TU addition. It can improve mathematical vocabulary. The decimal addition options are faulty.
