Hit the Button
Quick fire questions on number bonds, doubling, halving, times tables, division facts and square numbers against the clock. Brilliant for improving mental maths and calculation skills, but particularly times tables either up to 10 or up to 12 times.
Virtual Unifix
This is a manipulative which has virtual Unifix which can be snapped together. Better on desktop machines than tablets. Poor on iPad.
Times or Divide Bingo
A useful class teaching resource on division and multiplication by 10 and 100. It includes decimals and is suitable for use on an interactive whiteboard.
Finding the Area of Compound Shapes
A good site on finding the area of a shape based on rectangles on a grid. Estimate first and then compare with the actual area of the shape. Good as an IWB demo tool for teaching how to apply the formula to compound shapes based on rectangles.
Time Tools - 24 hour to the minute
A time challenge which is suitable for use on an interactive whiteboard. It involves matching times on a 12 hour clock with a 24 hour clock.
Fairground Fractions
A tutorial which explains how we add fractions with the same denominator within a whole one. This lends itself well as a demonstration tool on an interactive whiteboard.
Venn Chart
A resource with a teaching demonstration mode and an area where children can practise their skills sorting multiples on a Venn diagram.
How do Dinosaur Fossils form?
This video animation from the Natural History Museum explains how fossils of dinosaurs and sea creatures were formed and why we can sometimes find them today.

Taking GCSE English? Here are some useful aids to revision. The site looks at a wide variety of aspects such as composing essays, to work on set texts. There is a section on Standard Grade English if you are in Scotland.
