Partial Product Finder
Partial Product Finder allows multiplication combinations to be represented as a rectangle, or array. Arrays up to 50 x 50 can be shown. The resource can be used to represent straightforward multiplication, as in times tables.
Fishy Times Tables
A clever interactive which demonstrates times tables up to 10 x 10. It is useful for showing the commutative law of multiplication which means you can multiply numbers in any order and the answer is the same.
The Science Explorer
Aimed at 9-12 years olds, this site provides hands on experiments on subjects such as sound, light, colour and static electricity using everyday materials. Scientific explanations are provided.
Colouring Multiples in Pascal's Triangle
Check out this multiples challenge. Either pick a number or take a random number and find all the multiples. See if you can spot the number patterns as you colour in the multiples.
Captain Cook: Explorer, Navigator and Pioneer
The BBC have produced these pages which look at Captain Cook's exploration and his contribution in improving maritime conditions for sailors.
HMB Endeavour
Take a virtual reality tour of the HMB Endeavour, the Australian-built replica of Captain James Cook’s HMS Endeavour from the 1700s! Explore the upper and lower decks, the features of the ship, and the living quarters of the crew on board.
Number Balance
Try addition and multiplication calculations on this number balance by arranging the blue tags. Great for consolidating number bonds to 10. The free play option is useful as a teacher aid for demonstrating the commutative property of multiplication.
Daily 10
Daily 10 has maths questions on a range of concepts: addition, subtraction, ordering, partitioning, digit values, rounding, multiplication, division, doubles, halves and fractions. Great starter activity. Useful for mental maths and times tables.
Canal and River Trust Explorers
Explorers is the Trust's education programme aimed at children aged 5-11. We inspire children's learning by connecting them to our canals and rivers. There are lots of lovely downloadable resources.
The Array
Create and solve easy multiplications such as 9 x 3. Examine relationships between rows, columns and areas in arrays. A useful teaching resource to demonstrate multiplications on an IWB.
