Caterpillar Ordering
A game for ordering and sequencing numbers. It has a wide range of levels including ordering the first five numbers, all the way up to 1000 and negative and decimals numbers. Sequencing levels include multiples and counting in steps up to 10.
The National Literacy Trust
The Trust maintains an online database, and provides information and support to all those interested in enhancing literacy standards. It organises seminars and conferences.
Spelling Bee
The spelling activities on this US site are for children aged 5 in September (Grade 1) up to age 17 in September (Grade 10). The primary age activities are good exercises for KS1 and KS2 spelling SATs in England as they follow a similar format.

Quick fire subtraction sums against the clock. This is a space invader type game with subtraction sums less than 20. Just the thing to sharpen your mental maths skills.
Letter Formation
This site has excellent animations which provide a good model for learners starting to write letters. They indicate the starting points and proper strokes required. Works well on an interactive whiteboard.
Underwater Counting
Can you find the treasure? You need to count the underwater creatures. This game has two levels: Count to 5 and Count to 10.
Spell Block Academy
A fun spelling game with a wizard theme. Use the provided words or create your own spelling list of words in the Spells book.
Measuring in Cm
A measuring game which can help with how to use a centimetre ruler. Measure various objects against the ruler. There are two levels of difficulty with whole centimetre and half centimetre measurements using decimal notation.
