A State Apart
An interactive chronicle of events from the BBC covering 30 years of conflict in Northern Ireland. The events are brought up to date with an analysis of the Good Friday agreement and beyond. There are newspaper articles, interviews, and video footage.
Number Pieces
A great teaching resource which helps children to understand place value. It uses hundreds, tens and ones blocks. It's great for demonstrating decomposition as you can break apart the pieces.
ITP Fixpoints - Using a Protractor
Create angles using a grid and then measure them using the protractor. Their values can be displayed or hidden. For reflex interior angles the value of the exterior angle is shown.
National Archives Education Service
A wonderful national archives online teaching resource structured to tie in with National Curriculum from Key Stages 2 to 5 and designed for teachers. It has a range of original sources including documents, film and sound recordings.
Litnotes UK
A collection of resources for A/S and A2 English Language and Literature and Media Studies. The site includes revision notes on popular texts, especially useful if you are studying AQA Spec. B.
British Seaside History in Pictures
A selection of photographs, most black and white, of UK seaside resorts each with a brief historical explanation.
Conservation in Action
The site from the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust has all sorts of information about whales, dolphins and porpoises.
