We love The Royal Institution's science site called ExperRimental and it's just one of the latest additions to our search engine. It has fabulous short films of science experiments for children. Just the thing to spark an interest in science in youngsters.
Although site is aimed at home use we think teachers will be equally interested in these fun ideas for use in the classroom or science clubs. There are two series of experiments all of which are simple and cheap as they use household materials. Each activity has downloadable information on the science behind the experiment and reward certificates. Checkout this investigation called Colour Quest and discover the hidden colours in ink.
