Updated Moving Digit Cards Resource
We have re-written our Moving Digit Cards place value resource which focuses on multiplying and dividing both whole numbers and decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. Like the original resource the Teaching Mode demonstrates how digits move either one, two or three places to the left or right depending on whether the calculation is a multiplication or division. It shows how numbers increase as they are multiplied and decrease as they are divided.
Teachers can either enter a number of their own choice or select random numbers from either three-digit numbers, multiples of 10 or random numbers up to 1000. The Teaching Mode is flexible as it can handle numbers up to millions and down to tens of thousandths. Column headings can be displayed in either numbers or abbreviations such as H T O. The ability to set the level of difficulty means that the game is appropriate for students aged from 7 to 12 years.

Teaching Mode
Not only have we extended the range of numbers which can be multiplied or divided in the Teaching Mode but we have also added a whole new practise mode where students can put their knowledge to the test. Select whole number or decimal problems. This mode also features an automatic teaching demonstration guide where a user continues to make errors.
