Counting and Comparing Objects within 10

The symbols for greater than, less than and equals to are used in maths to compare numbers. This worksheet is ideal for introducing the concept. Children count each set of objects and use the symbols to establish which from the pair is greater than, less than or equal to another number. It uses the analogy of the crocodile’s mouth aiming for the larger number. All of the numbers are within 10.
