Estimate and Measure Time Practical

The National Curriculum requires children to be able to describe and compare different quantities such as length, mass, capacity/volume, time and money. Young learners need to learn how to “compare and sequence intervals of time”. This worksheet provides practical activities for them to first estimate how long they take and then measure the time they actually take with a stopwatch. It lends itself well to partner work. Children need to work out the difference between their estimate and the time taken for each activity.
