Spring Flowers
Flowers such as crocuses, daffodils and tulips are popular garden plants because they provide welcome colour after winter. They grow from bulbs and are some of the first flowers of spring. They come up every year if left in the ground.
Popular wild flowers growing in meadows and woods include primroses, cowslips and bluebells.
There are fewer bluebells than there used to be. When you go into the woods, please keep to the paths so you don't trample these delightful plants, and please don't pull them up. Left alone they can reproduce, making more beautiful bluebells.
