Make an Easter Chick Card

How about making this cheerful Easter chick card? It is simple and quick to make. Follow the illustrated instructions to see how easy it is.

You will need

Draw around an upside-down mug on one end of the yellow card. Carefully cut out the circle to make the chick’s body.
Draw another circle of the same size on pink card for the shell. Fold it exactly in half and cut along the fold. Cut a zigzag edge across the straight side of one half to make a broken shell.
Fold the remaining yellow paper in two and draw a wing shape. Cut through both layers to make two matching wings. Draw and cut one smaller feather shape for the top of the chick’s head.
Turn the shell and chick body over so the pencil lines cannot be seen. Glue the shell to the body, carefully matching the curved edges.
Glue the wings and head feathers to the back of the body. Place the wings at the sides just above the shell and the feathers in the centre at the top.
Draw two eyes with a black felt-tip pen. Cut out an orange beak and stick it to the chick.
Write your Easter greeting near the top or bottom of the card. Glue the chick in place without covering your writing, then leave it to dry before writing inside.
