Hibernation

At the end of autumn the trees can be bare of leaves and the weather can be frosty. Animals like bats, dormice and hedgehogs find a place to hibernate for the winter.

If you have your own bonfire for Bonfire Night, ask an adult to check that no hedgehogs are sleeping in it before it is lit.
